31 Days of Kindness

I’ve decided that I should make it a habit to do something kind but different each. I’ll be setting some acts of love and kindness for the next 31 days. I’m not exactly sure what they all may be and neither do I know the outcome. I just want to let other people know that someone in this world is still there for them. So, Day 1 starts tomorrow! :) Embarking on this adventure!

STAR Week

Thanks to my editor and close friend, Hannah De Vera, I had to strike some poses for BPC’s Star week preparations. Well, I’m just posing for Features section.

An Aging Matter

Never in my 18 years of existence has anyone, besides my relatives, guessed my right age. People always say, “you don’t look your age” and start justifying that statement. “You look older/younger than your age,” Excuse me, but do you even know what age looks like? Seriously now, when does being a certain age have a “look”?

Fresh faces
Thanks to my petite and fragile figure, people always mistake me as one that is two or three years younger than my real age.

It’s quite funny how people judge us basically by how we look. Though we always defend ourselves to others by saying, “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”, we forget to do the same. The judging about a person’s attitude isn’t really the subject matter at the moment, but we still judge people’s age by their appearance. I’d rather someone say I look younger than I should be than have them say I look older than my age.

Mature by nature?

I find it to be a compliment when someone calls you to be wise and mature for your age.

Age never defines how wise you are. Though you may be older than I am, I may know more than you do. Sometimes, what you know I may not know and what I know you may not know. These lessons may be taken from my own experiences or lessons I’ve learned from others. We have our own ways of learning in life.Age doesn’t say that you’re mature. It just means you’re older, that you’ve existed longer than I have.

Age is just a number of how long you’ve been alive. Maturity and looks can always alter. Young people may know more or less and look older or younger for you. Remember that though someone may be young, never underestimate their capabilities and talents.

Endings Don’t Exist

Close your eyes

Slowly, breathe in and out.

Drop all your senses.

Crawl into another world.

Build your own universe.

This is where your dream begins.

Though you awake from your slumber,

Your dream will continue.

Endings never exist.

The dream goes on and on.
